1900 Meeting was called to order

We have secured the Armory for the August 14th hamfest.

The club call has been assigned NØF for the Kansas QSO party the weekend of August 28th.

Derby Radio Shack will be at our hamfest.

Minutes from May meeting were read and approved.

Treasurer’s report was read and approved.

Repeater trustee had nothing to report.

Old Business:

Hamfest:

· Motion to spend $100 for doughnuts and beverages made by Joe ACØMO, seconded by Clint. Passed.

· Motion to raffle a door prize, $200 for an Anytone DMR with extra battery, $5/ticket, made by Nate and passed.

· Ask armory to use their sound system.

· Free Laurel testing courtesy of Richard, KØRCJ

· Open at 6 for table and chairs setup.

QSO Party:

· At ACØRL QTH

· August 28 9a-9p

· August 29 9a-3p

· Be prepared to handle pileups!

Brian Shull ADØLR put on a presentation about the Nano VNA.

There will be radios for sale from Bill Worthington and Cleyon Yowell in a future email.

Laurel testing, free of charge at 9am

April 13th meeting was called to order at 1905 Local.

March meeting minutes were read and accepted.

Treasurer’s report was read and accepted.

Repeater Trustee report: The 146.670 repeater is back on the air. Its original power supply requires repair.

Old Business:

Field Day will be held at the Armory.

Hamfest date has been set for August 14th, Armory is our first choice for venue, else AMVETS.

147.120 Repeater will be changed to require a 103.5hz PL Tone to mitigate ducting/intermod issues. It is highly recommended that you add the 103.5 Hz CTCSS tone to your radios now, just needed on transmit.

New Business:

Bill Worthington will begin organizing Radio in the Park events.

50-50 Drawings:

President Charles, KBØSQL, won the money drawing but donated the winnings to the club, $15

Clint won the shirt drawing.

We are actively seeking content for our new web page.

We have a new club email, hams@rckara.org

We decided setup for FD2019 will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 22.

We have collected $20 in 50/50 funds and an additional $82 from the Claremore Hamfest (see photos below). These funds were deposited in the Memorial Fund.

RCKARA Hamfest:

  • Specific apparel for RCKARA volunteers.
  • Get quote for apparel from D’s Duds, also an ordering page for the club members.
  • Roach coach vendor for food and beverages
