* Enid Hamfest was a total flop. Poor attendance all around. High entry fees were probably the reason.
* Treasurer’s report, current balance $6,976.64, and about $3,000 more coming.

Report from those that manned the booth at the Reno County Ignite show. Much interest was shown by attendees
New Business
Brief discussion on how to best park the excess money we have accumulated:

Treasurer is soliciting ideas from the membership. A decision will be made by the membership early next year.

There is a building and large tower on 82nd and Hendricks that looks like a great club house. It is currently unused. If anyone has information regarding this facility, please let us know.

    • August meeting will be at the Chamber of Commerce.

      • The Armory has been secured for the location.
      • We may not have VE testing.
      • Club will sell water, coffee, and doughnuts.
        • Motion by Jake and Clint to allow up to $100 for food, passed.

      • Club will not buy a door prize; door prizes will be supplied by vendors.

1901 Meeting called to order at the Hutchinson Chamber of Commerce conference room. Many thanks to our VP Mark Rankin for securing this location for our meetings

Charles visited the Topeka radio club and noted their great attendance but poor financial condition.

March minutes were read and accepted.

Treasurer’s report was read.

New Business

Motion made by Jake Fields, seconded by Clint, to reimburse Mark Rankin the $175 he advanced for the yearly CoC dues. This is a great deal. We were paying Amvets well over that to use their facility. RCKARA is now a Chamber of Commerce member, which gives us access to their facilities and many other chamber events.

Meeting was called to order at 1900.
ACØRL thanked the membership for their participation in the 160M SSB contest where we placed 1st for the state of Kansas.
October 2021 minutes were read.
There was no treasurer’s report.
Old Business:
* WØWR Scholarship: Mark Rankin, KFØBZM, has agreed to present our scholarship to the area schools.
New Business:
* ARRL sent out a Field Day survey. Please complete it if you received one online.
* Our next Hamfest will be August 13th at the Armory. We’ll look into the Square credit card reader to accept debit and credit cards.
* AD6P’s, Cleon’s, ham radio gear is going to be sold, with priority to club members. Gary, NØFHF, is going through Cleon’s treasures and will provide a list.
* Motion and vote to allow Jake Fields, KBØZIA, to forego dues in consideration for the shirts he provides throughout the year.
* The 50-50 raffle was won by Joe, ACØMO, who donated his winnings to the club, total $9.
* The shirt raffle was won by Mark Rankin.

Meeting was called to order at 1901 by President Charles Tucker.

Minutes for August 10th meeting were read.

Treasurers report follows:

 

Repeater trustee reports that the 146.670 machine is down again. Probably unplugged.

Old Business:

  • Hamfest was successful and fun for all. We made $317.29

  • KS QSO party was excellent

As you can see it looks like we took second, but K5KG was an out-of-state participant, so we are currently in first place. You can track this on https://www.ksqsoparty.org/

New Business:

  • The club is considering a family day/party on November 9th at the ACØRL QTH. Fire pit, weenie roast, smores, hamburgers, pot luck sides.
  • It was brought up that the club should provide a scholarship to a worthy STEM senior in the Reno County area. We will need to set up a selection committee.
  • 2022 Field Day will be the weekend of June 24-26.
  • We will hold our Christmas Party at the AMvets December 14th  at 7 p.m. Club will provide Hog Wild catering.
  • We are scheduling our 2022 Hamfest for August 13th.

A new ham joined us, John Hess, KFØGFC, we made our customary introductions for the new ham. The fire hoses were used…

NØFHF came out of his burrow and saw his shadow, another three months of scorching summer heat…

Last month’s minutes were read.

Treasurer’s report was read.

No known repeater issues were noted over the last month.

HAMFEST ’21:

Setup will begin this Friday the 13th at 4 p.m. All hams are encouraged to come by and help. Tables and chairs need to be set up.

D&L Antennas will not be present.

Saturday at 6 a.m. we will open the doors for vendors and exhibitors to set up.

John, KAØNES, will provide paper products, coffee and filters, creamer, sweetener, stir sticks, and water. Lona will pickup doughnuts Saturday morning. Jerry will bring a whiteboard. Charles will provide raffle tickets.

Plan is:

· Door prize drawings every 30 minutes

· Raffle at 12:30

· DX Mayhem at 11:00

· John will handle door prize and raffle tickets and donations at the door.

Charles won the 50/50, total of $14, $7 to club, $7 to Charles.

We have secured the Armory for the August 14th hamfest.

The club call has been assigned NØF for the Kansas QSO party the weekend of August 28th.

Derby Radio Shack will be at our hamfest.

Minutes from May meeting were read and approved.

Repeater trustee had nothing to report.
